Asia was first introduced to yoga while searching for remedies to help with her back pain from having scoliosis (a curvature of the spine). She began taking classes in 2012 at her local gym and fell in love with how it not only tremendously helped with her pain, but it also led her to a new self loving journey. After years of practicing in her living room and sharing her new teachings with friends, she decided to pursue her dream. Asia received her 200-hour yoga teaching training at Reflections Yoga Center in Homewood, IL in February 2017. She left her steady full time job and began teaching all over the city of Chicago. She soon realized that this was her calling and decided to create "New Yoga State of Mind". Asia believes that yoga is a workout for the soul. Her mission is to share her knowledge and gifts with her students and introduce yoga to people of all walks of life. Asia is a full time mom, Drama teacher at a middle school, and lover of the outdoors. Follow her on Instagram at @asiachantell
